Forest School
Our children love the opportunity to access our secure Forest School garden. It gives them the chance to explore the outdoors with specially developed hands-on learning programmes and experience the awe and wonder of nature around them.
Our child-led approach allows children to make decisions, initiate activities, seek challenges and solve problems, whilst at the same time building a better relationship with the natural work and learning to take care of it.
These regular sessions include tree-climbing, den building, tool making, fire making and team games, using various natural resources. We use these sessions to encourage the children to take safe risks and appropriate safety measures independently.
We go out in all seasons and all weathers (embracing nature!!) and all children are dressed appropriately in our wet weather clothing.
