We also offer Forest School where the children develop a strong, positive relationship with their natural world, with themselves and other people. See our Forest School page for more information.
Monitoring
Each child is allocated a Key Person who supports and guides your child through their development at Rainbow's, ensuring that their unique needs and personalities are addressed. We use Tapestry, our online learning journal, to track and monitor their progress and allow parents to take an active role in their development.
Parents are able to access their child's observations, photos and videos as well as being able to add their own observations from home. You will be given your log in details to Tapestry once your child has started.
Parents will also receive regular reports which track their progress throughout their whole time at Rainbow's End. Parents will also have the opportunity for face to face meetings with their child's keyworker to discuss in more depth the progress of their child.
Communication
Rainbow's End encourages full involvement of families, there is an opportunity every day for parents to speak to the Manager or a member of staff.
A weekly newsletter is sent out to all parents letting you know what is going on at Rainbow's and our regular coffee mornings and parent evenings are a useful way of communicating with our families.
Families are invited to attend our 'Stay and Play' sessions where parents can play with their children, meet their friends and involve themselves in the daily routine.

Getting Started
What Should I Bring?
For every session your child attends, they need to bring in a named water bottle (water only please). The pre-school provides all morning snacks and offers additional water and milk at morning snack time.
For full day sessions the pre-school provides a healthy 2-course meal, at a cost of £2.50 per meal. A mid-morning snack is provided to all children at a cost of £1.00 per day. All these costs will be invoiced with your child's fees.
Clothing & Nappies:
Everything you bring in for your child must be named accordingly. We cannot be held responsible if an item of clothing or a toy gets mislaid.
Winter months: Please ensure your child has a warm coat, hat and gloves.
Summer months: Please bring a named sun hat and suncream.
Wellies: Can be left at Rainbow’s in the boot bag supplied on your child’s peg.
Nappies and wipes: Please allow enough to get your child through their session. Rainbow’s keep a small stock of nappies but you will be charged if we have to use ours.
Spare Clothes: Please ensure you have ‘seasonal’ spare clothes in your child’s bag, including pants and socks.
